Getting Glam Gams with Shaveworks

I have incredibly sensitive skin and not just on my face but on my entire body! Too often in the warmer months I avoid wearing shorts or Summer dresses because the thought of shaving my legs makes my head spin with feelings of itchiness and memories of irritation.

Anthony Skincare is a leader in men's skin care and shaving needs, creating innovative products to address all of a man's skin care needs from head to toe. When I was told about their sister company Shaveworks, dedicated to improving the experience of ladies who shave, I was game to give the line a shot.

I tried two of Shavework's products, Pearl Soufflé Shave Cream and The Cool Fix. First things first, the packaging and names are on point, I will always appreciate a brand that understands the power of good packaging and the tone set by a great name. As well, these products both have unique scents that smell nothing short of divine. And to make you feel that much better about getting your gams glam, a portion of the proceeds of the sale of these products are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

As I said before, I am hesitant to shave my legs but I was willing to give these products a try and I started with the Pearl Soufflé Shave Cream. I followed the instructions, got my legs wet and smoothed on the cream. This may be the first hurdle if you are used to regular shave creams, this is not a mousse and you apply this product like you would your daily body cream, covering your legs(or other areas as it is safe to use elsewhere)with an evenly applied thin layer.

This cream is packed with a whole lot of goodness and doesn't have any of those things you don't want, such as Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates. This cream has capislow to minimize the appearance of hair growth, phytic and glycolic acid to exfoliate and reduce ingrown hairs especially in the bikini area, and mediacalm complex, for superb moisturizing benefits. Comparing this cream to others, it really is miles ahead. I have use other shave creams with so called moisturizing benefits before just to feel my legs scream for moisturizer after passing a razor, that did not happen with this cream. My legs actually did feel moisturized and dare I say it? This product even made shaving my gams luxurious and definitely glamorous.

After my newly smooth gams are out of the shower I followed up with the coordinating product The Cool Fix, a soothing blue gel that alleviates shaving and waxing woes. This formula combines powerful exfoliating agents to help release trapped hairs from underneath the skin, kill bacteria, and prevent ingrown hairs from reoccurring. It spreads quickly and evenly over skin, offering clinical levels of soothing relief for irritated patches under the arms, in the bikini area, or on the legs. I was thoroughly impressed with how soothing The Cool Fix is while maintaining the moisture achieved by the Pearl Soufflé Shave Cream. It is also a lovely feeling after a hot shower on a late Summer night, the sensation really is soothing and not gimmicky and I recommend using it in coordination with the Pearl Soufflé Shave Cream.

I cannot recommend these products from Shaveworks enough, they have honestly changed my attitude towards shaving my legs. I no longer see it as an activity of irritation and compromise but simply as a necessity that I look forward to, adding a bit of luxury in attaining glam gams!
