Fun With The Matrix Color Lounge App

I am in need a of a colour change when it comes to my hair...badly. For the last two years I have allowed my natural blond colour to grow out. I like it, but as someone who has had platinum blond and a million highlights in her time, I am craving a change. Having not changed my hair for sometime I am slightly nervous, what if I hate it? How long would it take to grow it all out....and the UPKEEP?
Well the people at Matrix must have had someone like me in mind as they have created an amazing new app for (Apple download here) and (Andorid download here) called the Matrix Color Lounge.
The Matrix Color Lounge puts all the amazing hair colours and techniques they offer right at your fingertips. It is very simple to use. Check out my experience below, deciding what type of colour I want and seeing how it will look.
First things first, upload a photo of yourself that best showcases all of your hair (a selfie worked best for me)
After you have uploaded your picture, using the selection tool, select all of your hair so the app knows where it is changing the colour.
Now the fun begins. Going through ALL of the colour Matrix has to offer to you can play around selecting the base colour you want. Even better, all of the colours are labelled with their actual salon colour code so when you go to one of the many Matrix salons you can actually tell your stylist the exact colour shade you want.
After having picked out your base colour you can choose the "Hair Effect" that you would like to try out. They have lots of options from "All Over Color" to "Ombre" and "Color Blocking". If you have selected a hair technique that uses a secondary color, this is where you use a secondary selection tool(the green highlight) to decide where in your hair you want the "Hair Effect" to take place, then pick the colour.
After you are all done you can share your hair transformation with the Matrix Color Lounge on social media or email it to yourself, or email your hairstylist for your next appointment.
I love how easy to use this app is and how it allows you to test out different colour and techniques and see how they actually look on yourself. So download the app, give yourself some time (because it is quite addictive and fun once you get started) and play around in the Matrix Color Lounge.
