Starting my week off right with a nice big drink of water for my face with the Moistire Monday Hyaluronic Acid Mask! This intensive hydrating mask delivers moisture to dry areas and maximizes the effectiveness of the treatments for te rest of the week. Fun Fact: Hyaluronic Acid is a molecule that is naturally occuring in the skin and holds one thousand times its weight in water.

A bit more about Hyaluronic Acid:

*Naturally found in the body

*Plays a critcal role in skin health with its unique ability to hold moisture

*Penetrates the skin's upper layers to improve and benefit the skin when applied topically

*Hyaluronic acid benefits tissue repair and protection

With the theme of Moisture I wanted to share my Top Three ways I Stay Moisturised and Hydrated:

1) Hydrate yourself with 8 glasses of water a day. I know you have heard this before and it's nothing new but sometimes getting those eight glasses can be difficult, like many things we know it's a must and sounds easy enough but some how just doesn't always happen. I find if I track my intake somewhere close to the tap where I am getting the water I challenge myself and can keep track of my progress.

2)Moisturise and hydrate right out of the shower. I love a warm shower as much as the next girl but a warm steamy showers can be dehydrating for both your skin and body. Two ways I restore my hydration and moisture is by having a glass of water as soon as I get out of the shower and by moisturising my skin as soon as possible, while it's still damp but not wet. The glass of water is just another reminder to keep hydrated and mentally alert. And, by moisturising right away I can take advantage of my open pores and seal any residual water left in my skin from the shower.

3) Drink a glass of water within the first 3o minutes of waking up. Sleep is vital to a healthy lifestyle but during those 8 hours of shut eye you are not taking in any water or food, think if you tried to go 8 hours during the day without a glass of water or bite of food - you'd feel awful and be less than yours usual self. Having a cold bottle of water on my bedside table and making drinking it the first thing I do, restores alertness and makes that morning that much easier. Caffeine is dehydrating and I challenge you to drink a litre of water within the first hour of being awake and see how much more alert you are than when you drink coffee.
