Blond hair takes a lot upkeep. Especially when your hair is coloured blond, it's so easy to go brassy or dull weeks after your very expensive salon visit. What is a blond haired girl to do?
Dessange Paris, a hair care brand based out of France recently launched across Canada in Shoppers Drug Mart and asked me to take part in a 30 day challenge in using their products because #BlondesTrustBlondes.
First, a bit about the Dessange brand. Since 1954, in his luxurious salon of the Champs Elysee, Dessange has been devoted to the liberation of femial beauty. His salon soon became a temple where hair and overall beauty reinvent themselves each day. As the official hairdresser to the Cannes Film Festival. Dessange is the resource for backstage professional secrets to beauty inspiration seen throughout the event each year.

Dessange has really done a blonde innovation with its products. Dessange's creativity and knowledge distinguishes itself in every domain, particularly in hair colour. Air, sun, thermal aggressions or mechanical frictions are main factors of shade shifting, undertones, fading and uneveness. Without targeted colour correction, each colour can grow old.

Dessange believes that nothing is more beautiful than fresh out-of-the-salon colour radiance. Driven by his legendary colour expertise, he's devoted to protect it from any shift, undertones or fading.
I put Dessange's California Blonde, for colour-treated blonde hair, to the test for the thirty day challenge. The formula was incredibly nourishing with a rich blend of flower oil and pearl extract that leaves your hair with the fresh-out-of-the-salon hair that Dessange promises to deliver. The collection is comprised of four products: Illuminating Shampoo, Illuminating Conditioner, Illumintaing Elixir and Brass Collecting Creme. The innovation really comes with how the four products work separately but together. The inshower combination of the shampoo and conditioner work like most but leave your hair feeling immediatley silky and nourished. the Elixir is a wonderful finishing product adding shine to your hair and acting as an immediate jolt to your blond.

The game changing product to the collection though is the Brass Collecting Creme, it uses the infusion of direct Dessange signature micronized blue pigments to counteract unwanted tones with professional precision. Its richly pigmented formula redeposits washed away blue tones to neutralize brassy reflects.
