Who desn't love to get pampered? I think that we can all agree that it doesn't take much to convince ourselves to go on a little getaway to a spa, read about mine here, but we can't always go to a spa and sometimes during those rough weeks we just need a little pick me up. The Body Shop has been bringing the spa to your home bathroom for sometime but they are bringing the spa to you at a whole new level with their Spa of the World collection.
The Body Shop always focuses on using natural and high level ingredients, ensuring their customers beautiful results while feeling good about what they're buying. The Spa of the World collection uses rare and precious ingredients known for their quality and results that have been passed down through generations in different parts of the world. I fell in love with this idea of bringing international beauty secrets into your home, offering an exotic luxury to your "me-time", but how well do these work? I tested out some of these products and wanted to let you know what I recommend for when you bring the Spa of the World into your bathroom.

Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay has been used by Moroccan women for ages as the clay from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco offers a unique firming power. The mineral rich clay, when applied to the skin, is a mask that absorbs excess water and oil causing the skin to tighten and firm as it dries. I decided to give this body mask a try one evening after I felt drained and was in need of an escape. The clay smells divine and goes on smoothly, I applied to it to my legs, stomach, butt and arms-I looked very similar to the little girl I once was who used to like playing in the rain while running through muddy fields. The clay took about 15 minutes to dry and during this time I just quieted my mind and allowed my self to succumb to doing nothing. Being covered in clay I could not do anything but wait. When was the last time you did nothing? It's almost scary at first but after I got through the first couple of minutes I felt a relaxation that I rarely find. I jumped into the shower and massaged the clay off my body, again another calming ritual, and was surprised by the result I found. Yes my skin looked tighter and firmer but it was also baby soft, something that I did not expect but will encourage me to continue to use the product throughout the winter when my skin can go unattended under all the layers of winter fashion.

Keeping along the lines of skin care and keeping my skin at it's best during the cooler months I decided to let my sensitive skin try the Hawaiian Kukui Cream. Hawaiian women's skin is exposed to the relentless drying affects of the sun that fills their island. I have Sahara Dry skin and come winter it's even worse, in addition to my skin's dry neediness it's very sensitive and I get anxious of rashes and irritation when trying new creams. The Kukui oil used in this cream is DIVINE. When you open the jar it fills the room and transports you to remote island luxury. The thick cream takes you into a ritualistic application, massaging it into your skin to ensure that not a drop is wasted. The beautiful scent lingers in your pores and lasts all day. This product has become one of my winter hero products for the upcoming season. My skin will stay moisturised and I can be transported away to Hawaii during those minutes of massaging this luxurious cream into my skin.
