Kérastase Soleil Collection

When the warmer months come and we rejoice in the sun, as any good Canadian would, we start to make small adjustments to our wardrobe, our skin care and our make up but we seem to let our hair care slide and instead curse the humidity for the unwanted volume and frizz. Kérastase makes my favourite hair care collections, making it easy to know what is best for you through their diagnostic tool, and they have continued on their path of innovation with the Kérastase Soleil collection.

Those powerful UV rays that can dammage your skin also hit your hair with the same harmful affects. I had a "duh" moment when I thought about this, I am a maniac about protecting my fair skin as I turn red and never bronze but I never thought about my blond hair being exposed to the saem dammage. In talking about this with my girlfriends they agreed as well, they never gave a second thought to their beautifullly coloured salon hair that they loved and how the sun exposure left their hair faded and lacklustre.

I usually use the Kérastase Volumifique collection, swear by it everyday, and have an arsenal of other Kérastase products that keep my Blond Champagne locks, styled and healthy. I was very excited to try out the Kérastase Soleil collection using the BAIN APRÈS-SOLEIL shampoo and two after shower products, SOLEIL MICRO VOILE PROTECTEUR and SOLEIL HUILE LACTÉE. Kérastase make the highest quality of hair care and smell absolutley divine! Never tinged by a chemical smell but always reflective of the luxury they offer. The Soleil collectoin is no different, it smells like sunshine, like an escape that is refreshing and exoctic. The clear shampoo has an oil like consisitency and suds up beautifully leaving your locks feeling clean and hydrated. Also, having only the one step in the shower makes it an easy and quick routine. The two after shower products can be used in dry or towel dried hair and either together or alone. I love to use the SOLEIL HUILE LACTÉE first as it is a simple shake and spray and I distribute it through my hair offering the hydration it often needs in the summer, then I follow up with SOLEIL MICRO VOILE PROTECTEUR which is a cream, I only need two pumps for even distribution, and it smooths out any frizz and fights the humidity.

I would highly recommend that you rotate this collection into your hair care, protecting the investment you make in your hair and protecting it from the irreparable dammage that can be caused by the sun. Kérastase has created a product that is easy to use with the summer lifestyle of carefree beauty and tousled hair but offered the strong protection needed to combat the negative effects of sun exposition that has negative effects on the hair which lead to a capillary photodegradation process. I have noticed a difference of easier to manage hair and a hydrated luminescent quality both when blow dryed or left to the warm summer air. Definitely a new Blond Champagne must and should be your summer must too.
