Mikhael Kale was the very first show I saw at my first WMCFW and ever since he has held a special place in my heart. Every season Kale's conceptual design reaches another level yet stays true to his own style. You may have seen Kale's designs recently on "Hideaway" artist Kiesza when she accepted her best new artist award at this year's Juno Awards.

This season Kale was inspired by Daft Punk's "Giorgio by Moroder", listen to the opening monologue where Moroder describes his musical career and how we he drew inspiration from the sounds of the 50s, 60s and the 70s all while striving to include "a sound from the future".
This collection sees Kale drawing inspiration from 70s silhouettes all the while with a futurist's lens. The craftmanship and attention to detail of the hand beading is breathtaking, every single inch of the garments have been carefully thought out. The collection perfectly expresses the theme of evolving art and fashion from the past into the future.
