An Exploration of Etsy and Canadian Fashion

Etsy has exploded over the last few years and has become synonymous with art, home decor and one of a kind trinkets. Fashion never came to mind when I was thinking of Etsy, sure I knew some people sold vintage on Etsy but I had no idea of the exquisite fashion available on the site until I was recently introduced.

“Etsy is a marketplace where people around the world connect, both online and offline, to make, sell and buy unique goods.” What I love about Etsy is the true community feeling the company has, when I walked into the offices I was greeted by everyone, they wanted to know what I was up to, how they could help. What impressed me the most though, was how inspired and excited all the employees were about Etsy. They were passionately talking about the clothes, the designers and the craftspersons who made them. Etsy is very much the local market that used to be found in every town, where artisans could bring their high quality goods except now it’s global and all online.

I am very excited to have collaborated with Etsy, they introduced me to some amazing Canadian talent, not only showcasing the clothing but the designer themselves. Now I cannot wait to introduce you to these unique, talented artists and the stunning pieces they have crafted.
