The Oscars

The Oscars are one of my favourite annual events. Since I was a young girl I have devotedly watched year after a year and when I was in school, I regularly hosted Oscar Parties with ballots and sweets. The Oscar Red Carpet was my first introduction to red carpet fashion and I look forward to it as much as I do waiting to see who takes home the award.

This year, the Oscars felt long. I did not go to bed until after midnight and at times it was a struggle to keep going, and I am an Oscar lover, so I do not know how otheres fared. Neil Patrick Harris did what he was asked to do, will he be asked back? Probably not. He is going to have own thos badly written jokes, not being able to pronounce David OYELOWO (seriously?) and the fact that no one was crying in their seat laughing. The Oscars are not the Golden Globes, they have to be safe but I miss the days of Billy Crystal making fun of the specatacle but still honouring it for what it is.

This year there was no true fashion dominator. There wasn't a Julia in Valentino moment or Bjork swan dress but there was some true fashion game being played. Make sure to keep refreshing your screen and follow along for all of my Oscar posts!

Please, this had to be one of my favourite parts. When you can make Oprah's night by giving her something, she is the queen of giveaways, you are winning!
