DYING! I am dying over how much I love David Oyelowo in this wonderful monochromatic, marsala Dolce and Gabbana tux. It looks classy and put together, how a man should dress, without looking like he is playing for attention.
David Oyelowo, along with the rest of Selma, had a huge snub this year. Everyone may be talking about Jennifer Aniston but Jennifer felt entitled to the award because she went ugly, boo hoo. David delivered an incredibly moving and important performance but fell victim to the Oscar's "white-est" tendancies. Too often movies of strong, African American's are passed over as being "Black" movies. They are human right's movies and need to be recognised as that.
I hope that David Oyelowo continues on his path of bringing high level cinema to the masses and that one day we are able to get over ourselves and recognise movies for what they are and not try to assign them to a movie for a group of people.
