Pink Tartan is a premiere Canadian brand synonymous with luxury and feminie flare. Headed by the impeccable Kimberly Newport-Mimran, half of Canada's First Couple of Fashion, Pink Tartan is a leader and big draw every season at WMCFW.

Kimberly Newport-Mimran truly understands the modern day woman as she is one herself. She creates exquisite designs with a love for accentuating all that is feminine and delivering a strong design that empowers the wearer.

In the last few years Newport-Mimran has teamed up with Tide creating a washable collection. As I said Kimberly is a modern woman herself and understands that it's important to have a wardrobe not limited by your dry cleaner's hours. Tide pods are no-brainer laundry solutions, fill up your washing machine, pop them in and away you go. If you're like me and have a million things going through your head whilt trying to clean your clothes, you have probably over filled the detergent, wondered if you put in the right amount (small-medium-large who made these guidelines?) or forgot the dtergent completely, pods are a godsent.

This collection is all I want in clothing. I have always had a love for vintage and the silhouettes of the 60s and 70s. Everytime that wide legs and flares come back in style I am first in line to buy them. Theough the collection borrowed heavily from decades past it did not feel costumey.

I loved the use of fringe and the demure palette contrasted with the loud prints. The long silk tops withthe tie necks and culottes were AMAZING and I want the halter one piece swimsuit so badly it hurts. This collection was the wardrobe of the modern day woman. It takes her form the office in impeccably tailored suits, to the weekend with wide culottes and flowing tops to her nightlife in beautiful longsleeved silk maxis. I am still reeling with the joy I felt form this show.

Every detail was on point in terms of styling, the use of aviators, chunky heels and gold roped long necklaces gave the effortless chic vibe with the class only Pink Tartan can deliver.
