Beauty Bubbles: Mascara, Get Bent!

Mascara, the most "new and improved" product in the beauty world. Every month there is some new innovation all with the same end goal of giving you the lashes of your dreams.
The latest mascara innovation is not in the formula of the mascara but of the wand that you use to apply your mascara. Cosmetic companies everywhere are transforming their typically straight wand and bending it. This change is supposed to make your application easier and allow for a push and lift of your lashes.
I have tried three of these mascaras, all at different price points and all offering something unique.
Lancome Grandiose

Lancome is an industry leader and innovator, usually the first to offer an alternative to the usual beauty offerings. Their campaign for Grandiose featured the stunning Penelope Cruz, major woman crush material, and the mascara was marketed in a "champagne bottle silhouette" tube (they know the way to our heart here at TBC) with a "swan neck" wand. If it's not already obvious, Lancome is offering luxury in a mascara in all aspects.

This is a New Beauty Staple! I've had Lash extensions and this is better. Literally lash extensions in a bottle with customisable length and volume! The mascara formula is on point, does not flake and does not feel stiff on your lashes. It comes off as easily as most mascaras with a decent eye make up remover. Worth the money, you'll make it up with all the savings the quality eye lash batting you'll be doing with it.
L'Oreal Paris Miss Manga

Okay, okay, technically this wand is not bent. When you take it out of the tube it is straight. However is is bendable and makes application a cinch! This product offers serious length, hence the name Miss Manga, not as much volume as Grandiose but with the flex brush it's like it grasps your lashes and ensures full mascara application to the tip.

The draw back to this product is also one of it's strengths. Your lashes will be extended and will stay extended but this leaves your lashes stiff. Removal takes a bit longer than most mascaras and I found myself doing double removal to ensure it was all off.
Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Curl

Two words: Fairy Lashes. As a young girl who didn't dream of being a fairy? Glinda? The Blue Fairy? TINKERBELL?? I received this mascara in this past season's Luxe Box and was intrigued by the name but was excited when I saw the wand! the wand is straight except for the tilted brush. If you are hesitantly approaching this new mascara trend this is the product for you as there is a small change from the traditional wand but with big impact.

This mascara offers great length, it does not offer the volume of the other mascaras but gives you a more natural look. This mascara leaves your lashes feeling light and nourished, it's hypoallergenic and made with moringa seed resin. Added bonus it's water resistant! Definitely a product you should be adding to your vacation travel bag! Removal was a bit more difficult due to it being water resistant, however it came off easily with an oil based remover.
Hopefully you find yourself using the newest trend in mascara, it will not disappoint and you may find yourself never wanting to go back to the old ways again!
