Haute Couture Bubbles: Giambattista Valli

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I adore this recent Haute Couture Collection from the delectable Giambattista Valli.This collection to me is a perfect balance of escapism that luxury offers and it has the edge of fantasy with the detail that Haute Couture is meant to be.

I am all for headware, I love headscarfs, hats and thank goodness for that royal wedding that brought the people back the fascinator! The styling of the headscarfs on the models juxtaposed with gorgeous couture offers a sense that these are women whom live their lives in these clothes, they live in luxury and relax in couture. I wouldn't mind that.

I love the feminine, lady-like silhouette. I imagine a vacation in the southern France where women lunch and lounge in the sun. Their evening would be finshed in the cotton candy, cloud ball gowns as they float into Monaco.

The colour Valli has used is exquisite. The muted colour palette of monochromatics with highlights of colours that compliment more that pop is elegant. Purple, has forever been my favourite colour and connotes royalty and in turn luxury-the epitome of what this collection offers.

Giambattista Valli delivered on his Haute Couture, you see a story, you are given a fantasy and the attention to detail makes it seem so real that you think that you may be able to live the fantasy yourself.
