Dior, the epitome of French elegance and class. Christian Dior created the new silhouette that helped define our past century and since then the house has been home to some of the greatest creative minds, Saint Laurent, Lagerfeld, Galliano and now Raf Simons.

Simons has said that this collection he “...was interested in the process of finding something extremely modern, through something very historical; particularly through a juxtaposition of different themes.” The collection has odes to historical deatils, from 19th century silhouettes, 1940's glamourous drama in jackets and nods to the future with the cosmonaut suit.

As much as I love Dior, I was disapointed that this collection is what Simons was offering as the house's Haute Couture. Haute Couture is fantasy and for one of the most luxurious brands in the world I felt that the "Haute Couture" factor in this collection was the name Dior. The show was luxurious, it was what we have seen before from Simons and it was done very well. However, it did not excite me and the most fantastical part was the space. The circular room's walls were covered in exquisite white orchids, the room was light and airy and leant itself well to the collection.
I have included my favourite looks, overall the jackets and cosmonaut suits were my lust pieces. The dresses were beautiful with the gorgeous embroidery but as I said before they were nothing new, they were just done very well.
